The rooms were cheap and updated, equipped with radiator and a carpet. The hotel was in a great and fab location, in a superb location-close to several top-rated restaurants. There was Pizza go Go nearby, offering quick meals.

Besides, there was parking on-site. The location of this enchanting hotel was handy, opposite Southsea Common & Victorious festival. Pizzeria Pizza go Go was located 10 minutes walk away.

Room without a view, not mentioned in the description. Small Window overlooks a small opening in the building. I would expect this in Asia but not the UK!. Room too hot, and no capability of cooling

The room was large with a high ceiling, plenty of storage space - drawers and wardrobe, and was very clean and tidy. The view over towards the common and the isle of wight was superb. You are in easy walking distance to southsea town centre, the seafront, clarence pier and old portsmouth. The hotel staff were very pleasant, and helpfull.

The breakfast served from the kitchen was a highlight, with homemade ice cream and attentive service in a grand breakfast room. The room was neatly kept, with a complimentary upgrade provided due to low season. Access to the restaurant could be limited due to busy times, and some noise from nearby events was noticeable, though it didn't disturb our sleep. The location is excellent, offering easy access to the sea and local sights.

A very enjoyable staff with friendly staff.
Lift not working was a problem as elderly mother was with us on the second floor and the stairs were difficult for he. Whe it did work for a short period you couldn't get in the lift as it was being used for services( laundry) We stayed in room 123 which was a nice room but the step in the bathroom i think is dangerous, both myself and my husband fell down the step during our stay. I think this is an accident waiting to happen.
